Our Story
Biba began with a clear insight: cross-border apparel sourcing has long been complex and uncertain. We watched how vendors competed for the best pieces as new shipments arrived — an unpredictable process that didn’t reflect today’s opportunities. That realisation inspired us to design a better way: a platform built on structure, transparency, and trust.
We envisioned a space where vendors could view available stock at factory prices, with clarity from start to finish and delivery they could rely on.
The Challenge
Sourcing apparel across borders is rarely simple. Options are scattered, information isn’t always clear, and intermediaries often add cost or slow things down. Vendors looking for high-quality garments from China, Turkey, and beyond need a direct route to reliable stock, complete with modern tools like order tracking, management dashboards, and insured shipping.
Factories face challenges too. Many create excellent products but find it difficult to reach growing markets. Selling through small intermediaries can limit volumes, raise prices, and keep opportunities out of reach.
Why We Built Biba
Biba was created to connect vendors and factories through four guiding principles: Trust, Innovation, Price, and Structure (TIPS). Every participant is verified, shipments are protected, pricing is transparent and clear, and sourcing, logistics, and dispute resolution follow clear, consistent standards.
By pairing verified factories and ready-to-ship inventory with digital management tools, Biba enables vendors to work with confidence and gives factories predictable access to new customers.
The Difference We’re Making
With Biba, vendors gain direct, transparent access to a wide range of high-quality apparel from vetted producers. They can manage sourcing, track shipments, and plan growth with ease in our innovative platform.
For factories, Biba offers a path to scale — opening doors to reliable demand at competitive prices, so they can focus on what they do best: crafting outstanding products.
Looking Forward
Biba isn’t just a marketplace; it’s part of a broader effort to strengthen apparel supply chains across Africa and Central Asia. We’re creating the systems and partnerships that help vendors and factories connect, collaborate, and grow in regions where opportunities have often been out of reach.
This is only the start — and we’d love you to join us.
